Originally the south of France was the source of much of Europe’s wine lake – indifferent wine made in the largest possible quantity. With increased use of good wine-making techniques there has been a revolution in quality which makes these wines some of the best value on the market. Types of wine produced range from modern varietal Vin du Pays to traditional styles made from indigenous grape varieties.
